Alkaline phenolic resin &hardener
Alkaline phenolic resin &hardener process, also known as α-set process,the appearance of the resin is brownish red liquid, with the following characteristics:
1 resin does not contain N, curing agent does not contain S, P, to avoid the casting surface produced by the increase of P S, tissue deterioration, nitrogen gas holes and other defects.
2 good applicability of the original sand. Alkaline phenolic resin applies not only to acid consumption value low quartz sand, zircon sand, South Africa Ge iron ore, is also applicable to were the sand with higher acid consumption values, chromite sand and magnesium olivine sand.
3 the hardening system has the properties of thermoplastic and second hardening performance under high temperature, so it can greatly reduce the crack and the burr defect of the cast steel and ductile iron castings.
4 free formaldehyde content is low, only 0.2%, the use of the curing agent has no peculiar smell, labor hygiene condition is good.
5 alkaline phenolic resin&hardener sand with low gas evolution and good collapsibility, reduce cleaning time, improve work efficiency.
6 the curing performance is good, the molding time can be adjusted, with three types of curing agent, can meet the different seasons of a year on the type (core) sand curing
7. In Al-Cu alloy castings, casting porosity is reduced; improved air tightness and core collapsibility is good, high dimension accuracy of castings, make the finished product rate is greatly increased.

Use guide
1 ratio: resin 1.2~2.0% (accounting for sand weight, curing agent 20~25% (accounting for resin weight)).
2 sand mixing process: First, the sand and the curing agent are mixed, then add the resin sand mixing time is usually 5~60 seconds.
3. Sand mixing equipment and process is recommended highly active resin sand mixer, when dosage is small, we should use the gap type bowl resin sand mixed or double stirring sand mixer; when dosage is large, we should with blade type continuous mixer.
